Get Vocal Project – Limerick Seniors Forum
The aim of the Get Vocal Project is to activate the voice of older people (over 55’s) to represent the needs, issues, and potential of older people in Limerick.
The project initially set out in 2011 to work with local community groups and older people who were interested in becoming involved in the project and informing the project on how older people would like to be represented.
The project has now led to the recent establishment of an inclusive city-wide forum which has been developed by older people for older people.
This new forum, called the Limerick Seniors Forum, was officially launched on Tuesday 26th February 2013. This new structured forum will allow 55’s (and over!) to come together to speak out on issues that impact on later life and to bring these concerns to the appropriate public representative, body or agency.
If you are interested in becoming involved or would like more information please contact the Development Workers for the Limerick Seniors Forum, Rita Hyland and Claire Gallery at PAUL Partnership on 061-419388.
Alternatively, information about the Forum’s activities and meetings is available from its new website and facebook page:

This project is jointly funded by Atlantic Philanthropies through Get Vocal; Age and Opportunity, Strategic Innovation in Education and PAUL Partnership.
