Fit for Work and Life

Fit for Work and Life (FFWL) is a training programme developed by the Irish Cancer Society.  Primarily targeted at people who are unemployed, the programme comprises of 8 weekly sessions which aim to develop knowledge and skills to enhance health and well-being, and to ultimately support capacity to participate in the labour market.  The Programme covers the following topics:

  • What is Health?
  • Physical Activity
  • Healthy Eating
  • Smoking
  • Alcohol and Health
  • Reducing Your Risk and Early Detection
  • Making Changes and Sharing with Your Community
