In 2016 the Mid West Local Development Enterprise Awards will be presented to persons who have successfully set-up their own business under the Back to Work / Short Term / Enterprise Allowance Scheme. The Scheme has been a great success in the Mid West with over 1,800 businesses supported to get started between 2011 and 2015. This award will see 12 successfully candidates participating in a Regional Final and the overall winners will have the opportunity to represent the Mid West in the National LDC Enterprise Awards Final.


This is the first time LDC companies in the Mid West (Ballyhoura Development, Clare Local Development Company, North Tipperary Leader Partnership, PAUL Partnership, South Tipperary Development Company, West Limerick Resources) have come together to organise an event that recognises the contribution of small businesses in the Region and also offer opportunity for National profile for the successful businesses.


Any businesses supported by their Local Development Company between 2011 and 2015 and who used either the Back to Work Enterprise Allowance and Short Term Enterprise Allowance from Department of Social Protection can apply.  In order to apply you must complete the Application form and return to: Elaine Mac Grath, Coordinator Economic Programmes via email: or via post to PAUL Partnership, Unit 25a Tait Business Centre, Dominic Street, Limerick.
