Limerick City and County Council are inviting applications for funding under the Department of Rural and Community Development’s COVID-19 Emergency Fund.

The primary focus of the COVID-19 Emergency Fund is to provide funding to groups that are involved in the Community Call response to the COVID-19 pandemic throughout the county by providing grants to community groups.

It is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development and is being managed by the URCD Department, Community Development Directorate, Limerick City & County Council.

Some key points to note are as follows:

  • Both capital and current expenditure are acceptable. The fund covers capital and current expenditure activity related to the COVID-19 response work to a maximum of €1,000 per application.
  • Applications can be made (by groups directly involved in the Community Call response) to Limerick City and County Council by Close of Business Thursday 30th April 2020. Commercial organisations and individuals are not eligible for funding.
