The Community Advisory Council is a new structure set up to inform the Partnership’s strategic decision making by providing independent feedback and by providing a structure for community participation in PAUL Partnership’s decision-making processes. The Advisory Council has 4 key specific functions:
- To assist the Partnership in its strategic programme development by offering suggestions and recommendations on new programmes, strategic collaborations and ways of working to ensure the Partnership’s continued effectiveness and relevance in promoting social inclusion in the city
- To analyse key policy issues for the Partnership and bring recommendations on policy to the Board
- To be a channel of communication between the Board and the Partnership’s wider stakeholders. This will include the option to act as a Consultative Forum for other statutory bodies wishing to canvas community views on particular initiatives
- To act as a mechanism for consultation with the broader community.
