Incredible Years Parent & Baby Programme

Baby & Parent Programme
(Ages 0-12 months)		 The Infant programme is comprised of eight sessions that focus on the child’s first year of life. The Incredible Years Infant programme supports parents and their babies in the following ways: 

  • Learning how to observe and read babies’ cues and signals
  • Understanding babies as intelligent learners
  • Learning about ways to provide physical and tactile stimulation for babies and its importance for brain development
  • Understanding the importance of finding time for oneself to renew energy for parenting
 8-9 Sessions
(2-2.5 hrs long at weekly intervals)		 (2 days)

Toddler & Parent Programme
(Ages 1-3 years)		 The Incredible Years Parents and Toddlers Program supports parents and builds optimal parenting skills.The Parents & Toddlers program consists of an 8-part program focused on strengthening positive and nurturing parenting skills. Each program builds on the previous. 12 Sessions
(2-2.5 hrs long at weekly intervals)		 (3 days)
Parent Group Leader Training
Preschool/Early Childhood
BASIC Series
(Ages 3-6 years)		 This training is comprised of Programs 1 – 4.
The program focuses on:

  • Strengthening children’s social skills
  • Emotional regulation and school readiness skills
  • Using praise and incentives to encourage cooperative behaviour
  • Positive discipline – rules, routines and effective limit setting
 18-20 Sessions
(2-2.5 hrs long at weekly intervals)		 (3 days)

BASIC Series
(Ages 6-12 years)		 This series focuses on the importance of promoting positive behaviours in school age children, reducing inappropriate behaviours and supporting your child’s education. 12-16 Sessions

Parent Group Leader Training
School Readiness Programme
(Ages 2-4 years)		 The School Readiness program is a parenting program designed to promote children’s school readiness. This two-program series is a supplemental to the BASIC Parent Program. The ultimate outcomes are to improve children’s school readiness, and to prevent children from developing conduct problems and academic underachievement in later school years. 4 Sessions
(2-2.5 hrs long at weekly intervals)		 (3 days)
Parent Group Leader Training
ADVANCED Series
(Ages 6-12 Years)		 This series builds on the BASIC School Age Parent Training Program by focusing on parent interpersonal issues such as effective communication and problem solving skills, anger management and ways to give and get support. 9 Sessions
(2-2.5 hrs long at weekly intervals)		 (3 days)
