Older Persons Forum

Get Vocal Project

The aim of this project is to activate the voice of older people (over 55’s) to represent the needs, issues, and potential of older people in Limerick, possibly through a forum. It is just starting and we want to ensure that the development of a forum is designed BY older people FOR older people.

It is important that all communities in Limerick are represented including older people living in regeneration areas.  Therefore, local community groups and activists are becoming involved in the project and are informing the project on how older people would like to be represented.  Through using local resources, older people will be given the opportunity to represent themselves in the way that they chose, leading to an inclusive city-wide forum.

If you are interested in becoming involved or would like more information please contact the Development Worker for the Older Persons Forum, Eleanor Cowan-Hughes at PAUL Partnership on 061-419388.

This project is jointly funded by Atlantic Philanthropies through Get Vocal; Age and Opportunity, Strategic Innovation in Education and PAUL Partnership.
